Protection for text-messages

In addition to secure voice communication nG SecurePhone offeres value added feature for secure text messages. SMS messages are relayed over the same network as the voice calls; hence they are unsecured due to plain text. Unlike conventional unsecured SMS, a strong end-to-end encryption protects the information within a SMS message transmitted via nG SecurePhone. Messages stored on the device can only be accessed by a password; this further ensures forward secrecy of stored messages.

Additional security features ensure user privacy and data security and prevent man-in-the-middle attacks and SMS spoofing. Messages are digitally signed by the sender, this allows the recipient to ensure the authentication of the sender.

Text messages are secured by AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with 256 bits key strength.
