Babylon Frame Relay

Babylon Frame Relay is an encryption solution for use on serial lines. Safe-com Babylon Serial supports encryption for a network speed of up to 2 Mbps.

The communication can take place over the protocols Link-HDLC, Frame Relay and X.25. With a special configuration, Safe-com Babylon Serial also enables protocol-independent encryption of the complete data stream using the Link-Bitstream mode.

A special feature is the possibility to have an ISDN-Babylon (Babylon Basic, Babylon 4xBRI, Babylon PRI oder Babylon SAT)communicate with a serial Babylon configured in Link-Bitstream mode. The different transmission protocols can be selected according to the license type. All Babylon Serial devices support Triple-DES with a line speed of up to 2 Mbps. The Link-Bitstream device also supports AES with a line speed of up to 384 kbps. Babylon ISDN and Babylon Serial provide SNMP and Syslog functionality, thus enabling real-time monitoring of all connections.

All devices of the Babylon family can be administered remote with the Safe-com SecurityManager.
